Aquello is an under sink reverse osmosis water filter system designed to provide clean, great-tasting drinking water for modern UK homes. It combines multi-stage filtration with a compact design, low-maintenance operation, and simple filter replacement for convenient everyday use.
How does Aquello work?
Aquello uses a multi-stage filtration process to help reduce unwanted contaminants in tap water. The system combines pre-filtration, reverse osmosis membrane filtration, and post-filtration to support cleaner, lower-TDS water, improved taste, and reduced hardness-related build-up in everyday kitchen use. Optional mineralisation filters are also available for customers who prefer mineral-enriched water.
Do I need a plumber to install Aquello?
Not always. Someone with suitable tools and practical plumbing experience may be able to install the system. However, professional installation is recommended if you are not confident working with under-sink pipework, tap fitting, or drain connections. Aquello Installation Service is available as a separate paid service, subject to location and kitchen setup.
Can I book an engineer for installation?
Yes, installation support is available. If you would prefer professional fitting, an Aquello engineer can carry out the installation for you. Please contact us to check availability and arrange a suitable appointment.
How long does the installation take?
Installation time can vary depending on the sink area, pipework, and tap fitting requirements. In many cases, installation can be completed in around 1 to 2 hours.
Is Aquello suitable for everyday use in family homes?
Yes, Aquello is designed for reliable everyday use in modern UK homes. It provides filtered drinking water on demand and is well suited to regular household use for drinking, tea, coffee, and cooking.
Can I use Aquello water for cooking?
Yes, Aquello water can be used for cooking, as well as for tea, coffee, and other everyday kitchen use. By helping reduce chlorine and other unwanted impurities, filtered water may also support a cleaner taste in hot drinks and food preparation.
Will Aquello help reduce limescale in kettles and on the tap?
Yes, Aquello is designed to help reduce limescale-related build-up by lowering dissolved minerals that contribute to water hardness. In normal household use, low-TDS filtered water may result in little or no visible limescale in kettles, coffee machines, and on the dedicated drinking water tap.
What maintenance does Aquello require?
Aquello requires routine filter replacement at the recommended intervals, along with occasional cleaning of the external surfaces and tap area. The system also includes filter life indicators to help you stay on top of maintenance and support reliable performance over time.
How often do I need to replace the filters?
Replacement intervals may vary depending on water usage and feed water quality. In general, the CF Pre-Filter and CB Post-Filter are typically replaced every 8–12 months, while the RO membrane is usually replaced every 24–36 months. Aquello also includes filter life indicators to help show when replacement is due.
