Aquello Installation

Under-sink reverse osmosis installation for UK homes

Aquello is designed to fit neatly under the sink and connect to your existing kitchen setup. A typical installation connects the system to the mains cold water supply, a dedicated drinking water tap, the sink waste pipe, and a nearby power socket. Once installed, the system is flushed, tested, and checked for leaks before normal drinking use.

Installation at a Glance

Under-sink setup

Designed to fit neatly below the sink in a standard UK kitchen layout.

Dedicated drinking water tap

Filtered drinking water is supplied through its own separate tap.

Cold water, drain and power

The system connects to the cold water supply, sink waste pipe and power socket.

What to Check Before Installation

Enough cupboard space under the sink

Access to the mains cold water supply

Suitable position for the dedicated drinking water tap

Access to the sink waste pipe for wastewater connection

Nearby electrical socket for the system

Permission for any required sink or worktop drilling, where applicable

Installation requirements can vary. Aquello should be connected to the mains cold water supply only, and the system should be flushed before normal drinking use.
If cupboard space, pipework access, or tap position is limited, additional planning or professional installation may be recommended.

How Installation Works

A typical Aquello installation involves a few key under-sink connections, followed by flushing and testing before normal use.

Prepare the tap position

The dedicated Aquello drinking water tap is positioned on the sink or worktop. If there is no suitable existing opening, a new tap hole may need to be prepared.

Connect the cold water supply

The system is connected to the mains cold water supply using a suitable cold water feed valve and RO inlet connection.

Fit the drain connection

The wastewater line is connected to the sink waste pipe so reject
water from the reverse osmosis process can discharge correctly.

Connect the dedicated tap

The Aquello tap is connected to the system so filtered drinking water can be delivered separately from the main kitchen tap.

Connect tubing and power

The required tubes are routed neatly inside the cabinet and connected to the correct ports. The system is then plugged into a nearby power socket.

Flush, test and check

Before normal use, the system is flushed, water flow is tested, and all visible connections are checked for leaks.

Typical Under-Sink Layout

Aquello is usually installed inside the cupboard below the sink. Your main kitchen tap stays the same, while filtered drinking water is supplied through the separate Aquello tap. The system connects to the cold water supply, waste pipe, and a nearby power socket.

  • Main kitchen tap remains unchanged
  • Dedicated tap for filtered drinking water
  • Cold water feed connected to the system
  • Wastewater routed to the sink waste pipe
  • Power supplied from a nearby socket

After Installation

Once installed, the system should be checked, flushed, and prepared for normal use. The tap and all visible connections should be tested to confirm everything is working correctly.

Can Aquello install the system for me?

Professional installation is available as a separate paid service, subject to your location and kitchen setup. Contact us before ordering to discuss your under-sink space, tap position, cold water supply, waste pipe access, and power socket requirements.

Do I need a plumber to install Aquello?

Not always. Someone with suitable tools and practical plumbing experience may be able to install the system. However, professional installation is recommended if you are not confident working with under-sink pipework, tap fitting, or drain connections.

Does installation require a separate tap?

Yes. Aquello supplies filtered drinking water through a dedicated tap, usually fitted to the sink or worktop. If there is already a suitable spare tap hole, it may be possible to use it; otherwise, a new opening may be required.

Does Aquello need electricity?

Yes. The system requires a nearby electrical socket for normal operation. If there is no suitable socket nearby, this should be considered before installation.

How long does installation take?

A standard installation is often completed within a few hours, but the exact time depends on cupboard space, tap position, worktop material, access to pipework, and whether any additional preparation is required.

What should happen before I drink the water for the first time?

The system should be flushed before normal drinking use. This helps clear the new filters, prepare the membrane, and confirm that water is flowing correctly through the system.
